Gloria was the beloved wife of Stephen Davis, the devoted and cherished mother of Renée (Rob) and Jean-Paul (Jenn) and loving sister of Verna (late Roger), May (late Patrick) and Paul. Gloria was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul (Francis) and Kenny and her sister Maryann (Elmer), and her siblings-in-law, Gerald (Lena), Germaine (Charlie), Joseph (Gaetane), Gabriel (Pauly) and Shirley (Leo). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Geneviève, Juliette, Julien, Rhys (Ainsley and Ashton) who brought immeasurable joy to her life. Nothing made Gloria happier than spending time with her grandchildren, creating memories they will carry with them always.
For more than 50 years, Gloria dedicated her life to teaching and was a tireless advocate for children. She believed deeply in the potential of every child and touched the lives of countless students and families throughout her remarkable career. Her compassion, patience and unwavering commitment to education left a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Outside the classroom, Gloria embraced life's simple pleasures. She was an enthusiastic supporter of the Toronto Blue Jays and the Montreal Canadiens, found peace and happiness in her gardens, enjoyed trips to the casino and gathering with family and friends over meals at her favourite restaurants. Above all else, she could be found watching and cheering for her grandchildren at dance competitions and volleyball and hockey games.
Gloria will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, strength and the love she shared so freely. She was deeply loved by her family, friends, colleagues and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She will be missed beyond measure, but her legacy of love, compassion and dedication will live on in the hearts of her family and in the many lives she touched.
Forever loved. Forever remembered.
A celebration of life to be held at a later date with details to follow.
