Gordon James Jackson

Passed away peacefully at his home on December 23rd, 2014 at the age of 95. Loving and adored husband and soul mate of Agnes (nee Cochrane) for 71 years. Loving and cherished dad of Ian (Gayle) and Faye (Robert Burns). Incredibly caring and loving granddad of Sean (Tasha), Tracy (Matt), Jeremy, Timothy, Emily and Matthew. Cherished great grandpapa of Cooper and McKenna. Gordon will be dearly missed by his sister Marion (late Seymour Bigwood) and is predeceased by Bernice (late Harold Perry). Gordon leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Those who knew Gordon will remember him for his great love of sports especially golf and curling. Gordon had a gregarious personality although quiet and contemplative he would enjoy engaging people in conversation. He will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234) on Monday, December 29th, from 2:00 p.m. until time of Celebration of Life in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted for the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
