Henk Lamers

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health – Bowmanville on February 5th, 2015 in his 85th year. Loving husband and soul mate of Anna for 60 years. Cherished and devoted father of Harold (Lorna), Brian (Lorna) and Rosanne (Michael). Adored Opa of Stephanie, Christopher, Melissa, Cody, Colin, Landon, Noland and Trey. Henk is survived by his siblings Thea Reynen (Lambert), Ben Lamers (Mia), Herb Lamers (Nel), Corry v.d. Vossenberg (Adrian), Tony Lamers (Jackie), Walter Lamers, Anny Tarabochia (Lawrence), Nelly Lamers, Martin Lamers (Marian), Betsy Dupuis (Omer), sister-in-law Mia, and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Lamberta, stepmother Grace and his brother John. Henk will be dearly missed by his many in-laws and extended family members from Canada and Holland as well. Henk was an excellent craftsman, well renowned and respected custom home builder. He had a strong work ethic, was a “fair man” and a dedicated family man who will be truly missed. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Monday, February 9th, 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. MARY OF THE PEOPLE CHURCH, (570 Marion Avenue, Oshawa) on Tuesday, February 10th at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Donations will be gratefully accepted for SickKids Foundation or Heart & Stroke Foundation.
