Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Ajax Pickering Hospital on August 20th, 2010, at the age of 83. Predeceased by loving husband Bill Carter. Loving mother of Janice (late Eugene Decaire). Cherished Grandma of Sarah (Peter) and Jeff. Adored G.G. of Isabel, Jake and Petra. Irene will be best remembered for her love of family and for making occasions special. As per Irene’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. Arrangements entrusted to OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234). The family would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff of Community Life Care and the nursing staff of the emergency ward of Rouge Valley Ajax Pickering Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be accepted for St. Vincent’s Kitchen.
