They take comfort in knowing that John is now in the company of his wife, Irene, whom he had been longing for since her passing.
John was a loving father to Kelly (Geoff) and Gary; and a cherished Papa to Mikayla, Garet, Autumne, and Austin. He was a brother to Hans (predeceased), Terry, Ellie (predeceased), Andy, and Ed (predeceased).
He was a retired welder with General Motors and a toolman at heart. He had a love for classic cars and motorcycles and loved taking his family to races. One of his most memorable vacations was the trip he took with his brother, Ed; they rented Harley-Davidson motorcycles and toured Florida. John loved boating and camping; the outdoors and time spent with his family meant everything to him.
In lieu of flowers his family requests that donations be made on his behalf to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
A celebration of life will be held by his family at a later date.
