Passed away on Tuesday, February 25th, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer and heart disease in his 84th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Lori (Herod) for 54 years. Proud father of Robert (Lisa) and David (Judy). Loving grandpa to John, Michael, Hailey, Hayden, Nicolas and Kassie. Jack Graduated with honors in Engineering from U of T in 1953. After a short stay with Canadian General Electric, he joined Burndy Canada Ltd. on the order desk and progressed to become National Sales Manager, Vice President and General Manager of one of Burndy’s three divisions. He was on the board of the Canadian Electrical Manufacturers and Distributors’ Association and president of the Toronto Electric Club. He was an avid golfer, curler and skier and was head of the Oshawa Ski Club Ski Patrol for many years. By Jack’s request, cremation and a private family service will be held. Remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
