WWII Veteran and 65 year member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 178. Retired from G.M. after 30 Years service.
Passed away on May 5th, 2012 in his 91st year, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Marion. Son of the late Norman and Ethel. Predeceased by his siblings, Mary, Polly, Art and Sam. Father of Linda and her husband Paul Edmondson, Robert Sanders (predeceased) and his wife Dawn, Julia and her husband David Meisner. Loving Papa to nine grandchildren and their spouses and leaving a great legacy to nineteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Monday, May 7th 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, May 8th at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Mount Lawn Cemetery. Donations to the RCL Branch 178 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
