It is with great sadness that I announce the peaceful passing of my beloved husband Kenneth Robert McDonald, after a brief illness at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday, November 4th 2010, in his 76th year. Loving husband of Sylvia for the past 45 years. Ken was predeceased by his mother Cecile. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. Ken was employed by TRS Food Service for over 20 years before becoming owner/operator of his own business McDonalds Food Service in the Whitby area. Special thanks to all the staff on the Critical Care Unit at Lakeridge Hospital who made Ken’s last days comfortable. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Saturday, November 6th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 P.M. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Sunday, November 7th at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kenneth can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
