

Affectionately known as Lee, passed away on March 24th, 2011, after many years of ill health. Lee worked for Bell Canada in Oshawa, Sudbury, Newmarket, and Hamilton. She was also co-owner of a ladies wear shop in Newmarket prior to her marriage. She was a member of the Oshawa Chapter of the Ostomy Association, for which she received a certificate of recognition for her work; a twenty-four year volunteer at the YWCA; a long time member of Simcoe Street United Church, volunteering for the coffee hour, Thrift and Gift Shop and for Meals on Wheels. She was predeceased by her parents, Doris and Frank Wallace. She will be sadly missed by her husband Edward, brother Jack Wallace (Shirley), brother-in-law William Wilson Sr., by many nieces and nephews: David Wallace (Penny), Kelly Wallace (Trevor), William Rowley (Patricia), Eleanor Nicholas (Nick), Emily Ann Kawzenuk, Marlene Gutsole (Reginald), Betty Ann Manning (Douglas), William Wilson (Lynda), David Wilson (Jocelyn), Mary Piney (Ron), Walter Fowlie (Lynda), George Fowlie (Mary), Jeffery Wilson (Catherine), and Richard Wilson. Sadly missed also by great and great great nieces and nephews. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, Oshawa (905-721-1234), for visitation on Sunday, March 27th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 P.M. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, March 28th at 2:30 P.M. Interment Groveside Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Oshawa Chapter of Ostomy Association or Simcoe Street United Church.
