It is with a heavy heart that I said good-bye today to a beautiful lady. She was my confident, my role model but most of all, my best friend. Lollie was a beautiful, kind and caring person. She was the same when I first met her in 1969 at St. Gertrude's Catholic school. I was a first year teacher who needed some assistance now and then. Lollie was so helpful in many, many ways. We stayed friends with Don, Lollie, and the children over the years. We visited Lollie and Don in Cape Breton where they loved to spend the summers with friends and family. Lollie will be dearly missed. Mrs. Morrison was my favourite teacher at St. Gertrude Catholic School.  She had a great impact on myself and all her students.  She passed on her love of teaching to her daughter Marie who has followed in her footsteps.  She will be dearly missed.  Sending my prayers and sincere condolences out to her family.

Mrs. Morrison was my second mom growing up. Marie and I hung out every day growing up and I even went to Pennsylvania a few times with Marie, Mrs. Morrison and aunt Joan to stay with the nuns  at the convent ( that was interesting ).
