I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Lori's passing. I am glad she went with peace and no pain. Lori was always a bright light, smart, kind, warm and welcoming to all. I hadn't spoken to Lori for maybe 15 to 18 years, yet I have such fond memories of her.  I knew her in high school, but we became close friends in Grade 13, golfing together quite a few times and hanging out at her house with other friends.  And we kept in touch during my two years at Queen's University, eventually drifting apart as our lives got more complicated and I moved away.

Lori was what I call a "true friend".  A true friend is someone you can go five or ten years without speaking even once, but then just call them up, have a chat and a catch up and your friendship is just as strong as it ever was.  No hard feelings about who should have called whom or why you didn't keep in touch.  Just pure joy to be in contact again and find out what has been happening in each other's lives.

I can honestly say that I haven't met anyone as happy and positive as Lori in all my life.  She was such a wonderful person to spend time with and I cherish those memories.

My deepest sympathies to Lori's parents, as well as Dawn, Alan, Roberto and the kids, and all of the extended family.  She has gone to a better place and, while it's hard to let her go, she is at peace.  So rest easy knowing she made the best of the limited time she had and think of all the joy she brought into your lives.

I remember Lori from high school like it was yesterday. She was always smiling and making me laugh. She was always so nice.  We were in many classes together. I am very sorry for your loss.

To the Flett Family, Her Husband Roberto & Her Three Children - I was shocked and saddened to hear the news of Lori via my Dad. I remember Lori's cheerful laugh/disposition and her smile.  Of course, her beautiful red hair always sporting a new style.  You all have your "special memories" of Lori and will have them to cherish forever.  Lori is in a peaceful place knowing no more pain. Know that many are thinking of you.

Karen and I are deeply saddened at Lori's passing. It was Lori that brought Karen and I together. Lori looked for someone with glasses in her physical geography lab and sat beside me. Great times on Bath Road in final year at Queen's with Trish. Without Lori, I may never have met Karen and been able to have our wonderful children, Patrick and Caillen.
