Lyda Pearl Morgan Simon

(November 23, 1917 – April 2, 2011)

Following a brief illness at Lakeridge Health – Oshawa with her loving family by her side, Lyda Pearl Simon (nee Morgan) in her 94th year. Predeceased by her husband Robert Simon and sister Edna Chapman. Survived by her brother Leslie Morgan and sister Louise (Bob) Wright. Loving and dedicated mother of Bonnie (Jim) Cornish, Robert (Elizabeth) Simon, Barry (Rose) Simon and Kerry Simon. Beloved grandmother of Kevin, Kris (Marley Gimblett) and Clay Cornish, Jason (Shannon) and Lee Ann (Adel Khalife) Simon and Matthew Simon. Dear great grandmother of Harper and Cloe Simon, Cammie and Simon Cornish, Addison and Anderson Khalife and Casey Cornish. Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Lyda will be remembered for her gentle disposition, great kindness and generous spirit and was loved by all whose lives she touched. Special thanks to the nursing staff of the Emergency Dept. and 4 Main of Lakeridge Health – Oshawa for their kindness and compassion in our time of grief. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Thursday, April 7th, from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service in the chapel at 1:00 P.M.
