She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Margaret will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Margaret’s life journey began on October 6, 1939. She first greeted the world in Glasgow Scotland at home on McLellan Street. Her parents' names were Maisie and Johnny Prescott. However, to Margaret, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with her friends. In all, Margaret grew up surrounded by family and friends who cared about her very much.
Many things change when a person becomes old enough to go to high school; Margaret was no different. She was a typical teenager who had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She was a very good student and graduated from Shawlings Academy and Lambhill Street High School. Margaret tried to be involved in a number of different activities, both in and out of school, during these years.

It can be said that you can tell a lot about a person by their friends. So it's little wonder that she took an active role in her neighborhood and community. She was very involved in Branch 43, Royal Canadian Legion and worked in the kitchen with Jack cooking.
While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Margaret worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Margaret was blessed with three children, Jack, Lainey and Diane. She worked hard toward raising her children in a positive and nurturing environment.
Later on, Margaret was blessed with the gift of four grandchildren, Andrew, Stephanie, Jenny and Derek.
How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Margaret enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Margaret worked diligently and did her best to succeed in each of her jobs. Margaret’s primary occupation was working as a Cardiology Technologist at Whitby General Hospital.
A person's hobbies often mirror who they have become. Margaret enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in a number of different activities, including playing cards with family, going to the cottage and she loved going to Florida and traveling.
Like all people, Margaret had her favourite things in life. Margaret loved springtime and preparing her garden.
Margaret enjoyed sports and athletics. She loved attending her grandsons hockey games and visiting Roxy at the barn. She also enjoyed soccer Saturday, always cheering for the Glasgow Rangers.
When Margaret’s retirement finally arrived in 1998, she was well-prepared.
Even in retirement, Margaret continued to stay in touch with her old friends while making plenty of new ones. During these golden years, Margaret also enjoy her pets, Tina, Meesy, Hamish and Shandy.
