Passed away at Lakeridge Health – Bowmanville on Thursday, August 11th, 2011 at 85 years of age, after a brave battle with cancer. Lovingly missed by daughter Donna, grandchildren Tiffany and Jason (Julie) Roza. Predeceased by her beloved husband Cecil Cummings in 2002. Dear sister to Vincent and the late Stan, Tom, Ambrose, Ross, Adam and George Plazek. She will be sadly missed by family and friends, always remembered for her motto in life: “When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping”. Thank you to all the doctors, nurses, family and friends for their support and prayers. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Sunday, August 14th from 6 – 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at HOLY FAMILY CATHOLIC CHURCH (91 Ribblesdale Drive, Whitby) on Monday, August 15th at 10:30 a.m. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in her loving memory.
