Your mom was such a big part of my life and my kids’ lives for so many years. She helped raise my children, cared for us like family, and was always there when we needed her. I’ll always remember her kindness, her ability to sew absolutely anything, including my orange overalls, and the countless ways she showed her love through the little things.

Some of my favourite memories are the simple ones—cutting her grass when I didn’t have grass of my own, stopping to chat in her socks and flip flops, and knowing her door was always open.  She was a truly caring and generous woman, and we were so fortunate to have had her in our lives.

One of my favorite memories of Maggie is from when I was little and swimming in her pool. I could never go underwater without plugging my nose, and Maggie noticed right away. Instead of letting me keep doing it, she patiently taught me a trick: hum whenever you go underwater. She explained that humming makes you blow air out through your nose, so you don’t need to hold it.

It worked, and from that day on I always hummed whenever I swam underwater. Even now, years later, I still do it. In fact, every time I come back up from the water, I’m usually still humming. My friends and family have teased me about it for years, but it always makes me smile because it reminds me of Maggie.

What seems like such a small lesson became something I carried with me for life. Every swim brings back that memory of her kindness, patience, and the way she took the time to teach a little girl something new. I’ll always be grateful for that, and I’ll always think of Maggie whenever I hear myself humming in the water.

When we lived on Chestnut Street, Maggie was the caregiver for our daughter when I went back to work. We moved to a bit bigger house just before our son was born and Maggie looked after them both. She was kind, so kind. I felt very lucky that we had her as a caregiver.  I never once worried about my kids when they were with her. She was a gift. Godspeed Maggie on your next grand adventure, free of pain. Know you are loved by your own children and beyond your family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ♥️  Pam McCormack

Her smile would light up a room.  She loved being around the family and friend that made her the happiest.
But when that stern look came, you knew your were in trouble.  You know the look and tone of voice eek :)

I remember my Aunt Maggie having the most beautiful gardens at her home.  She took great pride in her house inside and out.   
She always wanted to be outside, and would wear shorts  for as long as the weather would let her.

These beautiful and strong Twaddell ladies had hearts of gold, and always wanted to help the ones around them, although didn't put up with any BS,  they would always be there if you needed them

I am so sad to hear this. Rest In Peace Maggie. You will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing you. 
I will always remember our little chats over the years.  You could always make me smile and laugh.
