My very best friend Marilyn,,How can it be a year  on Sunday May 8th since you went away,,when some days it feels like yesterday and other days it seems like a life time since I heard your voice,seen your beautiful smile and had our little chats,,you would be extremely proud of your family ,you did a great job raising such wonderful kids ..yes you had help,,but when I see your kids I see you,,, and the way your grandkids speak of you ,,,you were and are loved ,you were one special lady you touched so many people ,,I think of you often ,like I'll say to my self oh yeh I have to tell Marilyn that and realize your not here anymore,,but your in my heart and with me so I tell you anyway,,I was blessed so much to have you as my friend,,and to be included always in your family,, love and miss you ,,until we meet again,,which one day we will be neighbours and best friends  again I'll be just down the road from you,,, happy Mother's Day too love you ,,Fiona

Dear Uncle Larry & Family, my deepest sympathies for the loss of dearest Aunt Marilyn. I still find her passing hard to believe. She will be sadly missed and remembered for her kindness and love to everyone she touched.

Larry, Wendy, Laurie, David and family you are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. I was very sad to learn of Marilyn's passing. I have known Marilyn for much of my life. First as a teenager when I twirled with and taught baton to Wendy and Laurie and when I did some babysitting for Wendy, Laurie and David, so that Larry and Marilyn could go out and have some fun together. Later, as an adult, I had the pleasure of working with Marilyn for many years. Marilyn was a very special lady. She was always kind hearted and generous and she loved to share stories of her family. Marilyn's smile,laughter and friendship will be very much missed. My heartfelt condolences to each of you during this difficult time. May you find contentment, peace and laughter in the memories that you made and shared with her. Rest in peace Marilyn.

Thinking of the family in this time of sadness.  My heart goes out to all of you.

Daughter, Sister, Friend, Wife, Mother, Nana. Marilyn had so many roles in her lifetime and although no one thing can define Marilyn, I believe her deep abiding love for her family is legendary.  For those who knew her, you know family is all of us, related by blood or not.  No one was more delighted to attend a wedding or welcome a baby, and it is possible Marilyn may have set a record for the most showers attended in a lifetime!   As Marilyn's sister it has been my great privilege to be a member of her family.   Over the years I received many special gifts from Marilyn but last year I received a small plaque which reads, God made us Sisters but Choice makes us Friends.  How true this was!  Not only was Marilyn a fabulous big sister who always made time for me, she was also a faithful friend to whom I could tell anything.  We traveled together, shared life's highs and lows, and talked for hours about everything, or nothing.  Marilyn also acted as my surrogate Mother for many years, offering support, comfort, and unconditional love.  Missing her is a given, forgetting her is not.  Thank-you for everything Marilyn...with love from your sister Brenda.

Sorry for the loss of your dear mother, wife, daughter, grandmother. Marilyn was a lovely person, and we will miss our euchre nights tremendously ~she was a dear friend.

Marilyn, we will miss you. Peter and I first met you at our wedding in 1962. We fondly remember your friendly smile, and your easy laugh. We often reflect on the great vacations we enjoyed with you and Larry. We shared

To Larry & Family, I was saddened to hear of the passing of Marilyn.  I worked with her at 850 King St. and knew her even before our Social Services years.  We had our own special bond and through the years we would contact each other and share our stories.  She was so very proud of her family, I can still hear her talking about her kids and grandchildren. I will always remember her beautiful smile.  She sure will be missed.  My heart aches for you and your family.

I was greatly saddened to hear of Marilyn's passing.  I worked with her for many years at Social Services.  As is so sadly typical when I transferred work and she retired, we lost touch but I kept hearing stories through her card buddies.  Many years ago, the two of us had tried learning to play the piano and we had practice sessions in her living room - which I am sure Larry regretted!  She had said she felt her granddaughter was catching on faster than she and I do hope she continued on or got to see one of the grandkids take up the piano.
