Marion McDonald Blight

(Retired from Toronto Dominion Bank and longtime member of the Oshawa Golf Club)

After a 10 year battle with Alzheimer’s, Marion passed away peacefully in her 91st year at Hillsdale Estates on Monday, November 12th 2012, with her family by her side. Predeceased by her loving husband William of 57 years. Devoted and loving mother of Bruce (Elizabeth) and Sue Dickinson, and predeceased by her daughter Ellen Loverin. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Tammy, Alexandra, Colin, Jeff, and Tori. Sadly missed by brother Ron McDonald and sister-in-laws Dorothy McKenna, Bonnie McDonald, Frayne McDonald and Helen McDonald. Predeceased by sister Margaret Welsh and brothers Cuthbert McDonald and Milford McDonald. Special thanks for the loving care given by Karen and Natalie as well as from the nurses, support staff and Dr. McIntosh at Hillsdale Estates. Memorial visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, November 16th from 7 – 9 p.m. and Saturday, November 17th from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Durham or Hearth Place would be appreciated.
