Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5th, 2014 (shortly after 7:00 a.m.) at Cooksville Care Centre, Mississauga, in her 80th year. Beloved wife of T. Robert McDonald for 60 years. Loving mother of Dian Maureen, Kathie Louise and Shane Robert. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Tony, Mandi, Sean, Jeff and Kristi, and by her great-grandchildren Tyler Jane and Cameron Dian. Maureen was active in the Oshawa Little Theatre from 1968 into the 1980’s, and was a tour guide of Parkwood Estates with the Ladies Auxiliary (Oshawa General Hospital) for many years. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday March 7th from 7 – 9 p.m. and Saturday, March 8th at KNOX PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (147 Simcoe St. N., Oshawa) from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Reception and tea put on by Knox Presbyterian Bereavement committee to follow service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Princess Margaret Hospital would be appreciated.
