I can not say that I knew Mike that well. Over the past ten years I may have spent time with him only a dozen or so times as a friend of his daughters'.

But obviously he was the adored father and husband of a very special family and cherished member of a loving extended family and friendship network I have always admired. 

I last saw Mike at the golf club in September and the night before I learned he had passed he was in my dream. I was away with Meredith and other Murrays, and strangers were being quite cruel to me...it was not a great dream. But then Mike was simply there, he did not say anything, but that was enough to make things right.

Mike just had this wonderful energy. I am not a lover of large group occasions, but with the Murrays that is usually what you get and he always made me feel calmer, more at ease. I will always remember him for that...and his smile.

If it is possible, I believe that Mike and Sheila are together again. And being a parent myself I do know they are so proud of the people, parents and partners Meredith, Michelle and Marianne are.

And this is how I can say I love Mike...because of his beautiful girls and grandbabies, in who he lives on.

Everyone that loved Mike is in our hearts and thoughts. He was a wonderful man.

Co-worker, union brother, but most of all dear friend for nearly 40 years. You are the reason we have our sanctuary at 30 Island Lake, you taught our sons how to water ski, you helped build our cottage and you have been there for us. We will miss you terribly. Our thoughts and our love are with your daughters Meredith, Michelle and Marianne and their families and though we cannot be there physically our thoughts and our prayers are with them. To all of the Murray Family, Mike was one of Bruce's oldest and best friend and were each other's Best Man at their weddings.  And me............ also one of my oldest friends.  Junior High School seems so far away now... but friendship endured throughout the years whether it be near or far.  May we all find comfort in our memories. Mike was not only my brother-in-law he was like a brother to me. I grew up with the Murray family and have watched their families grow up. I'm so sorry for your loss. I feel your pain. I know he was a good man. I don't remember he much but my dad thought he was a good guy and he was there for me when I had to say goodbye to my dad and mom so that makes him a great guy in my book!
