We are sorry we were not able to be there with friends and family to celebrate Uncle Neil's life today. He will be remembered for his smile and wit and always being there for anyone who needed him. His playful spirit always resonated with me, being his nephew. It was easy to see he brought a lot of joy to those around him. He will be missed dearly but memories of him will always be with us.

Love,
Chris, Erica, Ben and Wesley Shortt

Although I only knew Neil for a brief time, what I did see was a kind, generous, gentle man. He helped out at the yoga studio in Port Hope, with his wonderful talents. Neil was respectful, and humble. He will be missed for sure. Every time I go into my studio and see that wonderful cabinet he built, I will think of him. Rest in peace Neil.
