Rearden Galt Andrade

It is with profound sorrow and unending love that we announce the passing of Rearden Galt Andrade, who left this world suddenly on Sunday September 28, 2025, in Cuba, at the age of 54. Rearden, known fondly by his loved ones as “Bo”, was a man of immense heart, strength, and wisdom. He devoted much of his life to service and integrity through his career with the Toronto Police Service, where his courage and compassion touched countless lives. He carried himself with honor both in uniform and in everyday life, earning the respect of his colleagues and the love of those closest to him.

At home, Rearden was the rock of his family — a devoted husband, a loving father, an amazing stepfather, and a loyal friend. His laughter, gentle nature, and unwavering sense of duty will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.

Rearden leaves behind his beloved wife, Carmina Santos, who stood by his side through every joy and challenge; his cherished children, Solstice and Kai, whose lives he nurtured with deep love and pride; his stepchildren, Amadeus and Macey, to whom he was an extraordinary source of guidance, and strength; his devoted mother Luisa (predeceased by his father Lawrence); his brother Roark and sister-in-law Elizabeth; his nephew Zen, who brought him joy and connection across generations; and many friends, colleagues, and family members who will forever hold his memory close.

Though his time on earth was far too short, Rearden’s spirit lives on - in the lives he protected, the hearts he uplifted, and the love he gave so freely.

Visitation will be held at the Oshawa Funeral Home 847 King Street West on Sunday October 26th from 4p.m. to 8p.m.

Celebration of life will be held in the chapel on Monday October 27th at 10:30 a.m. Cremation will follow.

Those wishing to honor Rearden's memory may do so by carrying forward his values of loyalty, courage, and kindness, or by performing an act of quiet generosity in his name.
