I was stunned to hear of Bob's passing from one of his co-workers earlier today.   Bob and I both had been  Mainframe Systems Programmers and we used to have some wonderful conversations and chuckles  about the state of computing today. And I come from a college where Baseball is a premier sport -- and we liked to chat about Baseball as well.  Bob was a great technician -- and an even greater gent.  He will truly be missed.   My sincerest condolences to the family.

Goodbye to a great friend and person. I will miss your phone calls and lenghty discussions about workplace, the environment and the outdoors but nothing can compare to the time and experiences we shared during those long system conversions.

I only knew Bob vaguely, but knew his sister Cathy in high school and want to express my condolences to the Greer family.

I was saddened to hear of Bob's passing. I had the pleasure of playing Baseball with Bob for a few years. He was a good ballplayer and could hit the ball a mile. A good team mate and always pleasant and interesting to talk to. Used to run into Bob at Tim Horton's once a week. He left much too early. Rest in peace Bob.

Robert was my cousin but because of the age difference, we didn't really know each other. My condolences to Uncle Bob, all my cousins and their families. I know he will be missed.

Bob was the quiet guy who sat at the back of the class in Henry Street High School. The guy with bigger and darker sideburns than other guys in the class. The guy that girls like me were just a little afraid of. I hadn't seen him or heard of Bob for 40 years, and then we came across eachother on facebook this summer. Two weeks ago he stopped by my office in Haliburton to say hello and we talked briefly, and then a week later his buddy told me he had passed away. There are strange synchronicities in this world indeed. Goodbye Bob Greer.

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Robert Jr. Our interaction with him has always been very pleasant. We will surely miss him at the Cottage. He will be remembered in our prayers.

I was really shocked to hear it. I worked with Bob in one team for years, sit nex to each other; overcome work challege and share thoughts and experiece on varied topics. He's friendly, thoughtful, knowlegable and trust-worthy. He's not just a co-worker, he's a very good friend. I feel really sad to see him left, and the memory will stay.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Long time, no see but we remember him well.  He hummed when he was eating something that he really liked. We have two sons in that age group and feel your pain.
