Ron devoted his life to his country serving with the Marines, Canadian Army and the Airborne Regiment. Passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Sunday, April 24th, 2016 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Barbara for over 40 years. Loving dad of Dave, Valerie (predeceased) and Richard. Janet (Jesse) and Kevin. Amazing Papa to Brittan, Jessicah, Jenna, Bradley, Kaden, Nico, Kyleigh Tyler, Nolan and Keagan. Dear brother of Evelyn, Carrie and Jack. Brother-in-law to Jackie and Jim. Predeceased by his brother Bob and his sister Janet. Loved Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234) on Thursday, April 28th, from 3 – 5 & 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, April 29th at 1:00 p.m. Donations to Royal Canadian Legion or the Durham Humane Society would be appreciated.
