BUT HIS SPIRIT WILL LIVE FOREVER

It is with deep sadness that we announce Rick’s passing. His courageous battle with cancer lasted 4 ½ years. Son of Gladys and the late Walter Niedziela. Rick leaves behind companion and wife of 33 years Deb, his children Trisha, Juliana and her husband Wesley King, and son Paul. Grandchildren, Chanelle, Joshua, Malcolm and his “other” grandchildren Vincent and Victor Nguyen. Brother of Helen (Ivan Kehoe) and James Niedziela. Brother-in-law to Sandie Kraft, Gord and Mary Thom and Jamie and Alice Thom. Cherished son-in-law of Barbara Thom. Rick will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and his Fairy God child Stephanie Hordziejko. Also by many friends and colleagues. A private celebration of Rick’s life will take place Thursday. Arrangements entrusted to OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234). Donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation or the SickKids Foundation.
