Tribute to the late Salome Beverly Taylor
God will not ask you your birth
He will not ask of you your worth
He will only ask, what have you done for me on earth

Sister Beverly Taylor has been a part of the King's Chapel United Pentecostal Church of Jamaica situated on Albion Road, Montego Bay from its fledging years having lived next door to the church.  She became part of the large young people population who frequented the church and very soon became an integral part of it.  At that time the church was made up mainly of children and young people in their late teens and early twenties.  It was not long after that Sis. Bev, as she was affectionately called, on a visit to the United States, returned to Jamaica baptized in Jesus name on August 20, 1970. This experience was followed with her receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost.  Her mother, brothers and other relatives had already experience the new birth so it was natural that Sis. Bev would receive her new birth experience.
It was a dramatic change in the Taylor clan as they soon became a centre of positive influence on their community especially among the young including her two daughters who joined the many young people flocking the church every service.  Many were won.
We give thanks for the life of Sister Beverly who along with other relatives labored long and tirelessly in helping to build the work.  We recall her involvement in building fund drives, her passion and zeal as a member of the choir, Sunday school and her active participation in our outreach programmes.
This mother could be seen coming to church on Sundays accompanied by her two daughters, Charm and Sonia.
  
One of the main attributes of Sis. Taylor was her uncanny way of operating as someone who was always engaged in her mind; but once you made eye contact you would be greeted with a very pleasant smile.  She was of a quiet disposition, a very pleasant person to be around, and one who acted as though she did not have a problem in the world hence she would easily go unnoticed.
She was that sort of person who had an inviting personality  very easy to talk to - someone you would describe as unassuming; never in war, not controversial and never in too much of a hurry that she could not give you some time.  Her personality, though she was quiet and humble was accommodating. 
Today the King's Chapel United Pentecostal Church of Jamaica extends condolences to her children, brothers, sisters, relatives and friends.  You have finished your course!   
May her soul rest in peace.

I cannot express how deeply sad I felt about the passing of aunt Bev, no question ask she is resting in the arms of Jesus aunt Bev is a woman and a child of the King I have never met anyone that have faith in Christ like aunt Bev sleep in peace...

Bev showed us all what a loving relationship with God was. She loved day by day trusting in God up until her last breath. We shall meet again. Love you with everything

The warmth that radiated from Aunt Bev was experienced by all who came in contact with her, such grace and beauty that came from inside and radiated outside. Her love and commitment to God and her family was unwavering.  We love you and you will forever be a part of our lives. Rest in paradise Aunt Bev, we will meet again. You will forever have a place in my heart.

Angie; my prayers are with you Sis Una and the rest of the family during this difficult time.  Prayers and precious memories are what will keep you on this journey. Another soul has been ushered out, may God bring peace and comfort to you.  Know that you are in my prayers!

Aunt Bev was an exemplary child of God who touched my life with her warmth. Her ever ready smiles, her constant faith, Her open arms & hands & her fashionable expressions are just a few distinctions that she displayed. My heart is indeed saddened on the physical side but what continues to resound in me and bring me extraordinary comfort is to know that she kept the faith & has finished her course in the Lord. I am jubilant to know that she has reached the goal that many of us left behind are still reaching after. One day one day I too will reach the goal Aunt Bev & we will meet again. Either through the rapture or through death. With this hope I am comforted. Love & blessings to my family.

My deepest condolences for the death of your Aunt Angie, she was one of the most loved & humble person in the world, and her loss is irreplaceable. Her memories will forever lives on. The angels in heaven are rejoicing, I'll meet you in the rapture some sweet day. RIP Aunt Bev..

We are very sorry to hear about the loss of your dear grandmother. It was a joy to meet her and we were blessed to have spent some time getting to know her. She reminded me so much of my mom. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your mom.

I'm in disbelief that Aunt Bev is no longer with us. Such a beautiful soul; watching her over the years I can say for sure that she was a woman of God. Her grace and humility spoke volumes. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. My condolences to the family and all those whose life she touched. My memories of her will always be fond. Miss you and love you Aunt Bev. ❤

The most humble human being I have ever encountered. So full of love, wisdom and never ending positivity. You always reminded us that with the grace of God anything is possible ! You have made an impact on every person you have encountered, not only with that beautiful smile, but with your words and your reassuring faith. The Lord wanted his precious Angel home. May you rest peacefully in his arms.

There are no words to express how deeply saddened I am to hear about the death of your grandmother. She was an incredible person; selfless, caring and gentle. I truly adore your grandmother and feel truly blessed to have met such a gracious soul. I send my condolences to the untimely death of your loved one and continuously pray to our Lord to give strength to overcome this loss. I love you.

Dear my sweet Aunt Beve. Your humble and gentle spirit has touched so many lives you have come in contact with. As the days go on without you here physically, I aspire to be even a touch of the selfless, loving, lady that you were. There is absolutely no other like you! Although I will not be able to feel your warmth and hear your sweet voice, my heart is filled with your unconditional love and the memories we've shared. There are not enough words in the oxford dictionary to explain the lost our family shares in losing our dearest Aunt Bev (Salome Taylor).  We miss your beautiful smiles, your kind words, your continuous prayers, your generosity and most of all your love for your family and dear friends. The Cancer may have ravished your body but your soul is resting in heaven. Sleep on Aunt Bev the void in our hearts will never be filled.
