I've known Steve for a long time. Through OBA events I've met him many times but also outside of OBA I've had the pleasure of hanging out with him on a number of occasions. And the thing is that Steve was always so fun and great to be around. Always joking and smiling and happiest around his family. This work family that we have at OBA is what most people long for at their places of work and yet we've had it for so long that we tend to take each other for granted. Steve's passing makes us all realise that what matters is spending time with family, friends, not stressing the big things or the little problems in life because at the end of the day life is just too damned short. 

We've had our ups and down, our joys of births our lows when one of our own passes away, and Steve was one of us. We may not have seen him everyday but through Valerie, Brianne, Tracy, Terrine and Taylor he was a part of our lives every day. He was our family. Val, Brianne I think I can say this on behalf of all of us that you're not alone through this journey. If you need to cry, scream, punch someone - one of us will be there to help you. Grief sucks. This hurt that you're feeling sucks. But you have your family here for when you need us. You are so loved. Steve will be missed. He is missed. But as your family we will be here for you.
