After a lengthy illness at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, Verna passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 19th, 2010 in her 74th year. Dearly beloved wife of Floyd of 55 years. Loving mother of Barb Ashmore (Dan) and Sherry Eden (Skip). Cherished grandmother of five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Dear sister of Kenny Winton, Sally McLaren (Bob), Shirley Winton; predeceased by brother Bud Winton. Survived by sister-in-law Anita Winton. Thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their kindness and care. Friends will be received at HILLSDALE WESLEYAN CHURCH (301 Rossland Rd. E., Oshawa) for visitation on Friday, May 21st from 12:00 noon until time of Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
