Peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, November 23rd, 2013, one month shy of his 101st birthday. Beloved husband of the late Emma (nee Rutledge) predeceased 1987. Loving father of John and his wife Barbara, Van and his wife Bonnie, and Bonnie Kerr. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Christine (Shawn), Brian (Chantelle),
John (Jen), Chris (Niki), Andrew (Jen), Kimberly (Mike), Stephanie (Mike) and his nine great grandchildren Leah, Emma, Claire, Owen, Aiden, Lillian, Ryan, Chase and Jacob. Dear brother of Helen Ogden. He will be fondly remembered by his family and many friends. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, Oshawa (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, November 26th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, November 27th from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
