Janis M. “Jan” Thrasher, 75, of Fort Wayne passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. She was born on July 1, 1943, a daughter of the late Joseph M. and Crystal F. (Knight) Thrasher. She worked as an accountant for Chops and Cork’n Cleaver restaurants. She was a member at Ossian United Methodist Church. She enjoyed art, golfing, quilting, Elvis music, local history, and researching her family’s genealogy. She will be remembered as a woman that was deeply dedicated to her family. Surviving family include her sister, Carol “Lynne” (James Fillmore) Hatfield; nephews, Craig (Patricia) Hatfield and Stuart (Melissa) Hatfield; nieces, Tara (Patrick) Angle and Christy Thrasher; and 8 great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in passing by her husband, Stuart Daniels; brother, Joseph M. Thrasher, Jr.; and niece, Cathy Hendrickson. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Ossian United Methodist Church, 201 West Mill St., Ossian with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of NE Indiana or Visiting Nurse. Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, Ossian are handling arrangements.
