Jay W. “Jack” Shively, 91, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 11, 2015. He was born on June 25, 1923. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a farmer in Allen and Wells County. He also worked at and retired from International Harvester in January of 1981. Surviving family includes his children, Michael (Jule) Shively, Richard (Linda) Shively, Judy (David) Baute; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in passing by his parents, and his wife, Ruth Shively on September 14, 2014. A memorial service will be 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Lutheran Life Villages Chapel, 6701 South Anthony Blvd., Fort Wayne with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church Food Bank or Visiting Nurse. Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, Ossian is handling arrangements.
