Jeanette N. Oldfield, 89, of Zanesville, passed away, February 7, 2014 at her home. She was born on February 26, 1924 in Allen County to the late Ruthford and Bertha (Vollmar) Smuts. She worked at International Harvester as an Industrial Registered Nurse. She was a member of Zanesville Community Church of God. She enjoyed ceramics, reading, community service, and especially spending time with her family. Surviving family include her children, Linda Oldfield, Dale Oldfield, Donna (Tom Einhorn) Oldfield, Judy (Ron McDonald) Oldfield, Anita (Brian) Detwiler; 3 grandchildren, Cristi and Brandon Oldfield, and Audrey Einhorn; and siblings, Glenna (Dale Guerin) Cayot, Barbara Peterson, Rosemary Kumfer, Sharon Chilcote. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Floyd Oldfield, and a sister, Jean. A funeral service will be 6:00 pm on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian with visitation starting at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Hoverstock Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Zanesville Community Church of God building Fund or Hope Closet, or A Friend’s House-Bluffton.
