Judith M. “Judy” Brown, 75, of rural Marion, formerly of Wells County passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. She was born on April 18, 1943 in Fort Wayne, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Jessie (Schwartz) Monnot. She was the owner and operator of her own beauty salon for many years in many different cities including Hair Unlimited in Bluffton. Family was very important to her and she greatly enjoyed the time spent with them. She could also be found enjoying flowers and designing the family home and her salons. Surviving family include her husband, Dale E. Brown; daughters, Michelle Smith and Katrina Athan; son, Kirtus (Nicole Walker) Brown; grandchildren, Kedric Athan, Colten (Taryn McCormick) Smith, Teagen Smith, Tristan Athan, Tricia Athan, Conner Athan-Prichard, and Mason Brown; great grandchildren, Karter, Forrest, and Laynee Athan, and Daxtyn Smith; siblings, Ron Monnot, Shar Mechling, Becky Satterfield, and Evonne Captain. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her son, Tracy Brown. Per Judy’s request, private family services will be held at a later time. Inurnment will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian. Memorials may be made to Tyler’s Triumphs for drug abuse and addiction treatment.
