Martha E. Cummins, 73, of Ossian passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2010. She was born on October 4, 1936 to the late John W. and Frances (McBride) Phillips. She attended First Church of the Nazarene in Bluffton. She worked as a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, gardening, flowers, and especially her family and friends. She is survived by her daughters; Cindy Wyss of Ossian, Pam Cummins of Bluffton, Susanna (Darel) Heyne of Titusville, FL, Lori (Travis) Carroll of Ft. Wayne; sister, Edith (Dean) Gearhart of Andrews; brother, John R. Phillips of Huntington; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Jesse Cummins; and her sister, Sarah Elser. Funeral services will be Saturday September 11, 2010 at 12:00 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St. Ossian, IN with calling two hours prior to services.
