Michael R. McClain, 62, passed away Monday, April 30, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 26, 1950 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was a son of Charles and Elenor (Dickmeyer) McClain. He graduated from Ossian High School. After graduation, he moved to Orlando, FL where he worked construction in the initial building of Disney World. Upon returning to Fort Wayne, he was employed by International Harvestor and General Electric. He retired from Johnson Controls. He is described as an avid fan and supporter of the New York Yankees and Green Bay Packers. Surviving family include his mother; one brother, Stuart (Theresa) McClain of Ossian, and many loving relatives. He was preceded in passing by his father, Charles in 2009. Friends and family are invited to a graveside service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Oaklawn Cemetery, 701 South Jefferson Street, Ossian. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
