Ronald K. Bacon, 72, of Ossian passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015. He was born on November 13, 1942 to the late Samuel and Dorothy (Wenger) Bacon. He worked at General Electric as a welder before retiring in 2001. He served as a Green Beret during the Vietnam War in the 101st Airborne. He enjoyed target shooting, fishing, hunting, and supporting NPR. Surviving family include his children, Ronald (Alesia) Bacon II, Kelli (Shiloh Reed) Bacon, Stephanie Ayers, Jamie (Dale) Tarr; grandchildren, Brandon, Aaron, Ariel, Nicholas, and Henry; and brother, Samuel Lynn (Linda) Bacon; a niece, Tracy Bacon; and a nephew, Sam (Rachel) Bacon. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his wife, Virginia “Jo” (Thiesen) Bacon. A family gathering will held at a later date. Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, Ossian is handling arrangements.
