Peacefully with family by her side, at 8pm on Sunday, December 8, 2013, in her 90th year. Daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (née Kosnaskie) Olsheski. Beloved wife of the late Donal McManus. Loving mother of Rosemary, Michael (Karen), Jim (Diane), Kevin and Heather (Michael). Dearest Grami of Jason, Chelsea (Zack), Bridget (Geordan) Geoffrey, James, Patrick, Gregory, Erik, and Taylor. Great-grandmother to Leona and Emmett Hackett. Only sister of Clem Olsheski, and their late brothers and sisters-in-law John, Bernie, Wilfred (Florence), Alfie (Esther), Alban and Garnet Olsheski. Dear Sister-in-law of the late Margaret Bolton (late Frank Bolton), the late Jim McManus (late Pearl, Sylvia McManus), late brother Michael, late sister Kathleen, late Louis McManus (Sheila McManus), Sheila Stewart (late John Stewart), Ethna Ford (Doug Ford), Jack McManus (Pauline Kelly-Smith, the late Irene Sauve ), and Paul McManus (Norma McManus). Cherished by Frieda McManus, Joy Denton, many cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces/nephews, great grand nieces/nephews and dear friends. Stasia touched the hearts of many with her kindness, and her beautiful warm smile. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be held at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home and Chapel, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion), Ottawa on Thursday, December 12 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral mass will be held at Holy Spirit Parish, 1489 Shea Rd., Stittsville on Friday, December 13 at 10:30 am. Reception immediately following in Church Hall (basement). Burial will take place at St. Columba’s Cemetery, Pembroke, ON on Saturday, December 14 at 11:30am. For those wishing, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
