Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be remembered for her kindness, fairness, strength, and the love she showed to those around her. Though naturally reserved and inclined to keep her deepest thoughts private, her warm eyes and comforting smile made her immense love and support unmistakably clear to everyone who knew her. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Barbara was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond Simpson, and her daughters, Laura, Janet and Diane.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Steven (Chris), Kim (Jean-Pierre), and Penny (Ahmad); her grandchildren, Eric (Tawny) and Alexandre; and her great-grandchildren, Everly and Coen.
Barbara leaves behind a legacy of gentleness and grace that will live on in our hearts forever. Her family will cherish the memories.
On Thursday, October 15th, the family will be receiving condolences from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa, followed by a memorial service in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 AM.
