Bernard Beauchamp

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved father, father-in-law, and grandfather. Bernard Beauchamp passed peacefully at the Civic Hospital on September 25, 2026, at the age of 84 with family by his side.

He will be dearly missed by his son Yves (Rosa Maria Carpinteiro) and Lynn Martel (late son, Luc). He also leaves behind his cherished but brokenhearted grandchildren; Éric, Brianna, and Jacob. Bernard leaves to mourn a group of relatives - including cousins, nieces, and nephews – as well as countless friends.

Bernard is now reunited with those who went before him; his beloved wife of sixty years, Denise Lacroix; his son, Luc Beauchamp; his parents, René Beauchamp and Marie Jeanne Patrice; his sisters, Denise (Larry Slatter), Mariette (Jack Venne) and Ghislaine (Yvon Depatie and Jean Louis Albert).

Condolences may be offered on Wednesday October 7, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home (180 Montreal Road, Ottawa).

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday October 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St Mary's Parish (100 Young Street, Ottawa).

The internment will take place privately at St Hugues Cemetery in Sarsfield.

The family would like to thank the medical teams at the Ottawa Hospital’s Civic Campus. Specifically, the doctors and nursing staff of the Offload Medicine Transition Unit (OMTU) and the 5th floor Acute Monitoring Area (AMA).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in his name be made to a charity that is meaningful to you.

C'est avec profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès d’un père, d’un beau- père et d’un grand-père bien-aimé. Bernard Beauchamp est décédé paisiblement à l'hôpital Civic le 25 septembre 2026, à l'âge de 84 ans, entouré de sa famille.

Il manquera énormément à son fils Yves (Rosa Maria Carpinteiro) et à Lynn Martel (feu Luc). Il laisse également dans le deuil ses petits-enfants adorés et au cœurs brisés : Éric, Brianna, et Jacob. Bernard laisse aussi derrière lui de nombreux proches — notamment des cousins, nièces et neveux — ainsi que d'innombrables amis.

Bernard a maintenant rejoint ceux qui l'ont précédé : son épouse bien-aimée depuis soixante ans, Denise Lacroix ; son fils, Luc Beauchamp ; ses parents, René Beauchamp et Marie Jeanne Patrice ; ainsi que ses sœurs, Denise (Larry Slatter), Mariette (Jack Venne) et Ghislaine (Yvon Depatie et Jean-Louis Albert).

Les condoléances pourront être offertes mercredi le 7 octobre 2026, de 17 h à 21 h, à la maison funéraire Racine, Robert & Gauthier (180, chemin Montréal, Ottawa).

Une messe funèbre sera célébrée jeudi le 8 octobre 2026, à 11h, en la paroisse St Mary (100, rue Young, Ottawa).

L’inhumation sera tenue dans l’intimité de la famille au cimetière St. Hugues à Sarsfield

La famille tient à remercier les équipes médicales du campus Civic de l'Hôpital d'Ottawa. Plus précisément, les médecins ainsi que le personnel infirmier de l'unité de transition (OMTU) ainsi que ceux de la zone de surveillance aiguës (AMA) du 5e étage.

Au lieu de fleurs, la famille invite ceux qui le souhaitent à faire un don en sa mémoire à un organisme de bienfaisance qui vous tient à cœur.
