It is with heavy hearts that the family of Beverley Ann Perry(nee Shaw) announce her peaceful passing in the exemplary care of Extendicare Starwood on March 2nd, 2025.
Bev is pre-deceased by her loving husband Vince, her brother Robert Christie Shaw and her parents Violet Hazel Shaw(nee Craig) and Robert Alexander Shaw.
Bev was cherished by her sons Robert(Cathy) and Rande(Donna) and her daughter Vyann.
She was a treasured grandmother to Jason, Jennifer, Shannon, Andrea, Adam, Amy and AJ. Bev was also so proud of all of her great-grandchildren.
Bev had a very brief career in the Canadian Armed Forces, where she met and married the love of her life Vince. She left the forces and enjoyed the many different places abroad that Vince's military career took them. Once they were settled back in Ottawa, Bev worked for Stats Canada, Sun Life and the Ontario Ministry of Transportation.
Bev was very involved with Rideau Park United Church. She was a part of many committies and activities and devoted much of her time and skill to the United Church Women's group.
Bev was also an avid crafter in her free time. She knit, crocheted, quilted, sewed and had many other artistic talents. We will all treasure the items she lovingly made us.
In retirement, she and Vince traveled extensively to visit family from coast to coast in Canada and to the United States. Together they were pleased to be able to attend many weddings and the births of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Cremation has been entrusted to McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home and Chapel
Bev will be laid to rest in Hope Cemetery in Ottawa. Funeral arrangements will be added at a later date.
