Caroline was the daughter of the late Herbert and Eileen (nee Kirkwood) Gowdy, widow of W. Ernest Williams, caring mother of the late Patricia, and Victoria, grandmother of Tony Williams, and Greg and Sherry Doxtater. Proud and devoted elder sister of Eileen Alana (Calgary, AB) Jim (Elizabeth) of Co. Down, N. Ireland, and the late Andrew.
Caroline emigrated to Canada from Belfast, N. Ireland in 1959. She practised physiotherapy in Edmonton, Yellowknife, Grande Prairie and Ottawa. She was the founding Director of Physiotherapy at the new Riverside Hospital. Caroline was a longtime member of Orpheus Musical Theatre, the Savoy Society, and the Tara Players of Ottawa.
