March 31, 2010 – June 17, 2025
It is with shattered hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Charlie, who left this world far too soon on June 17, 2025, at the age of 15, after a courageous and painful struggle with her mental health.
Born on March 31, 2010, Charlie was a radiant, thoughtful, and deeply compassionate soul. She brought light, laughter, and warmth into every space she entered. Her intuition, kindness, and creativity touched the lives of everyone lucky enough to know her.
Charlie had a deep love for singing, theatre, drawing, nature, animals, and creative arts. She especially enjoyed making masks—an outlet through which she expressed her vibrant imagination and inner world. Whether she was on stage, sketching in a quiet corner, or surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors, she expressed herself with heartfelt emotion and curiosity. Her passions were a reflection of her gentle, artistic spirit and her desire to connect deeply with the world around her.
Charlie is deeply loved and will be forever missed by her mother, Jen Mayor; her father, John Kevin Mayor; her stepfather, Pierre; and her stepmother, Christine. She was a cherished sister to her brother Kaiden, and a loving stepsister to Devin, Brooke, Evan, and Braden. She is also mourned by her grandparents and her abundantly loving family and friends, whose hearts will always carry her memory.
A celebration of Charlie’s life will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at:
McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home

All who knew and loved Charlie are welcome to attend, share memories, and honour her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Charlie’s memory may be made to CHEO (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario) or to a mental health or suicide prevention organization of your choice, to support youth and families impacted by mental health struggles.
Though Charlie’s life was far too short, it was filled with deep love, beauty, and meaning. Her story is a powerful reminder of the importance of kindness, listening without judgment, and showing up for one another.
Rest gently, beautiful Charlie. You were—and always will be—so deeply loved. Your light continues to shine in all the hearts you touched.
