He was one of those guys that just got along with everyone and was really, genuinely friendly and likable. There aren't enough people like that in the world, and the world is a little less welcoming with him gone.

My condolences to your family CJ. From the day I met you at Canterbury, I knew you were someone special. You were the type of person who always had a smile,  a kind word and a helping hand.  Working with you in the theater I knew you would be going places. I pray that your life was full and bright and that those you have left behind can remain at peace knowing that your purpose was great. You will be missed. Love, prayers and sympathy to your family.

It is rare to meet such optimistic and life-loving person as Christopher, that is why it's so difficult to believe he's gone. The memories of shared smiles and laughter will be cherished forever.

Chris was such a genuine, nice, and funny guy. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. My sincere condolences to his friends and family.

I first met CJ when we were teenagers, back at Canterbury, and met up with him again somehow, miraculously, this summer when he came back to Toronto from being on tour. I was lucky enough to see him about once or twice a week for a couple hours over the summer, whether he was over for our poker nights, or if a few old friends went dancing. He was a joy to reconnect with - an amazingly creative and positive person, so full of love and life - his laugh could get everyone in the room in stitches - and I don't think there was a more genuinely sweet human being. I'm honoured to call him my friend.

Only a few times in one's life do we get to meet people who make a deep and profound impression upon us. CJ had the gift of doing that with every person he met. His candle truly did burn twice as bright. I'm glad I got to share in his life, even if it was long long ago. We will all miss you CJ.

Cousin, as there has been many years that I have not had the chance to laugh with you or see you grow up into a man. The memories I have of our youth brings a smile. I know that your in a good place and God is taking care of you. We will all miss you.

CJ convinced me to work backstage at Canterbury, and thanks to his enthusiasm I got hooked on theatre.  Hugs to his family & friends, as he will be missed.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of CJ's passing. He was a great friend through junior high as was high school. His love of laughter and good times will stay with me always. I am not able to attend the service in Ottawa but will be thinking of everyone today. He will be missed by all who were touched by his light.

CJ was the brightest star I have ever encountered. I am grateful to have known him and my heart goes out to his loved ones. His passing is a great loss felt deeply by many. Ceej lived his passions and he was a true inspiration and friend. He will be dearly missed.

To CJ's family,
We are so sorry for your loss. CJ spent many hours in our home with our son Steve and friends during Canterbury years. We were always happy to have him around. His good humour and smiles could always light the place up. CJ leaves wonderful memories to all who knew him.

My sincere condolences go out to family, friends, and everyone who had the priviledge of knowing CJ. I only got to know Chris (or, Caesar Javier, as he liked me to call him) for a short while when we worked together at Opera Bob's but I feel so fortunate to have been able to call him a friend.   I, along with everyone else who was lucky enough to have known CJ,  will forever remember him as one of the most genuine souls that so rarely come into our lives. He will be deeply missed.

I never knew anyone who quite like Christopher!  Even in his pre-teen and teenage years, he was always someone you wanted to be around and to be his friend. Cherrie, I've said it before, but he did get his very best qualities from you.  His laughter and ability to make others laugh.. his smile would brighten up a room in an instant!  He loved all of you with his whole heart and I can only imagine that this is also how he loved his friends. It's so very sad that he has moved on...
