Peacefully, in the Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre, on Sunday, January 16, 2011 in his 97th year. Daniel Joseph of Limebank, husband of the late Hazel Ellen McVean. Proud father of James (Shelva) of Manotick, Gary (Mary Beth) of North Gower, Peter D. of Toronto, and Robert (Carol) of Manotick. Grandpa of Danny, Michael, Suzette and Chris; great grandpa of Tori, Ryan, Connor and Logan; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Brother of Harold of Inkerman and Mary (late Ernie Blais) of Ottawa. Predeceased by parents James and Lena (nee Finley), brother Austin and sister Rita (Mrs. John Albert). Visitation at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion), on Wednesday, January 19 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service Thursday, January 20 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
