David Dexter

He was the son of the late Jean Dexter (nee Fraser) and the late Armand Dexter.

He leaves in sorrow his loving wife of 38 years, Linda Dexter (nee Hussey), his children Kerry Dexter and Brian Dexter and stepson Trevor Watson (Leanne Morrow), his grandchildren Jennifer-Lyn Wuis, Jessica Courville, Eric-David Dexter, Chanelle Guirey, Saara Dexter, Bradley Hughes, Olivia Watson and Charles Watson his great-grandchildren Riley, Meghan, Alexi, Logan, Carter, Gavin and his great-great-grandchildren Brinlynne, Byerson, Alena, Ludovik-David, Melyane, Lucas, Aubree, Kassidy, Skylar, Maggie-Lynn and Eva, as well as many friends and extended family. He was predeceased by his stepdaughter Candice Capaldi (nee Watson).

The family would like to thank the incredible doctors, nurses and technicians at The Ottawa General Hospital, The Ottawa Cancer Centre, The Bruyere Centre, The Ottawa South Palliative Group and the all of the other wonderful nurses and staff who helped along the way.

Dave was a lover of the ‘Boxer’ dog breed and had them as companions most of his life. He was an avid sailor, an accomplished bagpiper who played as a civilian with the 48th Highlanders Pipe Band and a Freemason, having attained 33rd Degree Scottish Rite. But most of all, he loved the simple life.

As were his wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
