Denis faced this deadly stage 4 lung cancer with courage, strength and patience.
Predeceased by his father Roger O. Vaillant, mother Artilda Tremblay, stepmother Gilberte Carrière and brother in law, is good buddy, Roger Adrien Lacroix.
He leaves in sorrow his sons Marc Sacha and Roke Bayne. He was cherished by his two nephews Jean Adrien and Guy Adrien Lacroix. He also leaves behind his four grandchildren Dylan, Evan, Jonathan and Karine. He will be missed by his friends André, Ken, J.P., Pierre and Ron who took him to all his medical appointements. He will be deeply missed by his sister Fleurette.
He loved the outdoors, camping, boating, fishing, and duck hunting.
The family would like to thank all of the staff of the fifth floor Palliative care Elizabeth Bruyère for the compassion and devoted care. They became an extended family we needed. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Bruyère foundation would be appreciated by the family.
Visitations will be held in Ottawa, Ontario, at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, on Friday November 27, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. There will be a limitation of 27 person at a time including immediate family due to Covid-19 regulations.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 10h30 at Notre-Dame de Lourdes, 435 Montreal Road, Ottawa.
A celebration of Denis life will be held later, outdoors in the summer (July), the family will notify everyone.

Denis à fait face à un cancer du poumon stage 4 avec courage, force et patience.
Il fut prédécédé par son père Roger O. Vaillant, sa mère Artida Tremblay, sa deuxième mère Gilberte Carrière ainsi que son beau-frère et bon ami, Roger Adrien Lacroix.
Il laisse dans le deuil ses fils : Marc Sacha et Roke Bayne, deux neveux : Jean Adrien et Guy Adrien Lacroix, 4 arrières- petits- enfants : Dylan, Evan, Jonathan et Karine : ses amis; André, Ken, J.P., Pierre et Ron qui l’apportaient à tous ses rendez-vous médicaux. Il manquera beaucoup à sa sœur Fleurette.
Denis aimait la nature, le camping, faire du bateau et la chasse au canard.
La famille aimerait remercier le personnel du cinquième étage des soins palliatifs d’Élizabeth Buyère pour la compassion et les excellent soins. Ils sont devenue partie de notre famille quand nous en avions le plus besoin. À la place de fleurs des dons à la fondation Bruyère serait grandement appréciés par la famille.
Des visites auront lieu chez Racine, Robert & Gauthier au 180 chemin Montréal, Ottawa, Ontario, vendredi le 27 novembre, 2020 de 2 h00 Pm à 5h00 Pm. Il y aura une limite de 27 personnes à la fois incluant la famille immédiate du au régulations entourant la Covid-19.
Une messe commémorative aura lieu samedi le 28 novembre, 2020 à 10h30 à Notre-Dame de Lourde, 435 chemin Montréal, Ottawa
Une célébration de la vie de Denis aura lieu à l'extérieur au courant de l'été prochain, la famille tiendra tout le monde au courant.
