Diane Evelyn Colley

Diane Evelyn Colley, of Ottawa, ON, lovingly nicknamed Mother & Mother Bear by her children, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children at home on March 6th, 2022, at the age of 69. She was born in East Preston, NS on June 18, 1952, to the late Freeman Colley and the late Evelyn Colley Beals.

She leaves in sorrow her children: Vanessa (the late Richard), Cynthia (Garry), Tyrone (Tara), Dashelynn (Troy) and her “adopted son” Drew Brooks; her grandchildren: the late Drewmar, Andrew, Javonté, Tyrieka, Trevelle, Marquise, Rishanna, Jaheim and Tyson; her great-grandchildren: Zailen, Leo and Josiah. She also leaves behind her siblings: Briane (the late Eleni), Philip, Gwen, Roger (Tracey), Genevieve, Drew (Louise), Derrick, Alfred (Gail), Benjamin, Paulette (Thomas), the late Eugene and Stacey (Rhonda) as well many nephews, nieces, and friends. Diane dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. The family would like to thank Esther for her dedication and kindness as a homecare aid and the CSLC Palliative Care for their exceptional care.

Her passing leaves a large hole in our lives. “Goodbyes are not forever, Goodbyes are not the end, they simply mean I’ll miss you until we meet again”.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respect on Saturday, March 19th, 2022, from 1:00 p.m to 3:30 p.m. at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road. A funeral service will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Funeral Home.
