Dimitrios Kampitsis

1924 - 2017

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness the family of Dimitrios Kampitsis announces his passing on May 8, 2017, peacefully at home with family at his side. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Muriel (nee Cunningham); his loving children Louis (Marianne), Jerry (Mary), David (Deborah) and Caroline; his dear sister Adamandia Papadam; his cherished grandchildren Dimitri James, Nicholas Paul, Maria-Alexandra, Dimitri George, Dimitri Davey, Amanda and Nicholas; and many nephews and nieces. Predeceased by his son Andreas. He was the owner and founder of Aenos Farm Products, Montreal, vice president of the Greek Community Montreal and the West Island Community. Family and friends are invited to pay respects at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa, ON, K1V 1A6 on Friday, May 12 from 4-8 pm, with Trisagion Prayers at 6:30 pm. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 13, at 10:30 am at Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 1315 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa, ON.
