Peacefully, at home on May 24, 2011, at the age of 75. Dear son to the late Antonio Tavares and the late Maria dos Anjos Tavares. Loving husband to Filomena Vasconcelos. Devoted father to Mra dos Anjos (Eduardo) Viveiros, Maria (Carlos) Da Silva, Gilberta (Nelson) Alberto, Filomena (Julien) Huneault, Victor, Carlos (Angela) and Ana Maria. Adored grandfather to fifteen grandchildren. Dear brother to Maria dos Anjos Gonçalves. He will also be missed by one brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and many friends. Predeceased by one son Antonio “Tony”, five brothers and one sister. Family and friends are invited at Racine, Robert & Gauthier 180 Montreal Rd., Ottawa (613-241-3680) on Friday May 27, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday May 28, 2011 at Senhor Santo Cristo Church 1100 Kenaston Street, Ottawa at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
