Peacefully at Hôpital de Gatineau, on July 28, 2019 at the age of 54 years, after a valiant battle with cancer. Pre-deceased by her father Josiah Okusanya, Bukky is survived by her mother (Florence), daughter (Sarah), siblings (Tunde, Yemi, Owolabi, Adeolu, Yinka, Funmilayo, and Olanrewaju), uncles, aunties, cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her immidiate and extended family, and many friends in Canada and Nigeria. Special thanks to: Dr. Shelley Sud and her oncology team; Ms. Josee La France for her compassionate care, especially during Bukky's last days; and, Staff members of Chartwell Rideau Place for their kind support. The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Friday, August 2nd .2019 from 12 noon - 3 pm. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Saturday, August 3rd, 2019 at 9:30 am, followed by burial at Hope Cemetery. In memoriam donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

In shock and sadness, you left us so soon.
With diligence, you served the Nigerian Canadian Association Ottawa as a Member of the Board of Directors as our Financial Secretary.
You continued in your service to the Community as the Financial Secretary of the Isokan Yoruba Association.

We thank you for your service, devotion and your love of our Community.
You assisted and helped many. We will surely miss you. We love you. Your daughter Sarah will grow with the love and training you imbibed in her.
