Born in St. Catharines, ON, to Luella Foster and William Roberts, she passed away on February 5, 2026, leaving to mourn her passing her husband Michel (Mitch). She was loved by her two predeceased brothers-in-law, Jean-Robert Poirier and his daughter Diane and her husband André Lapointe; and Paul Raymond Poirier and his daughter France Lavoie and her husband Kevin Hill. By her 1 sister in Law Paulette Laflèche and her children Marc, Paul, Danielle, Carole, and Jean-Charles.
Evelyn, who was predeceased by her sister Judy McLellan, was always known to the immediate family as Auntie: to her niece Teri Meeks (Belleville, ON) and her husband Greg; her great-niece Holly Meredith (Ottawa) and her husband Robert (Rob), including their children, great-great-nephews Benson and Chase; and her great-nephew Ryan Meeks (Belleville, ON), including his children, great-great-niece Ella and great-great-nephew Isaiah.
Evelyn (EV) was also known under her moniker” EV” to her many close friends and acquaintances in Ottawa and abroad.
She was loved by everyone who knew her; she will surely be missed.
